About this app

DarkShell is an Android app that lets you connect to an IPTV or media service you already subscribe to, using the connection details (host, username, password) that service gave you. DarkShell does not provide any TV, movie, or series service of its own — it is a generic player, similar to a web browser pointed at a server you choose.

What data is processed

  • Host, username, and password for your IPTV service — stored locally on your device, used to connect to your service and load your channels, movies, and series.
  • Favorites and recently-viewed items — stored locally so your shortlist and history are there next time you open the app.
  • Display and search preferences — stored locally to remember how you like the app set up.
  • Chromecast (Google Play Services) — used only when you tap the cast icon to play on a Chromecast device on your own network. This uses your device's Wi-Fi to discover nearby devices; no credentials or viewing data are sent to Google.

What we don't do

  • We do not store anything on our own servers — we don't run one.
  • No account, sign-up, name, or email address is required.
  • No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
  • No access to location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

About the content you access

DarkShell has no relationship with, and no visibility into, the service whose credentials you enter or the content it provides. You are responsible for making sure you're entitled to use the service you connect to.

Data retention

Everything DarkShell stores (server details, favorites, history, preferences) stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can remove it via App info → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.
